The present Writ Petition came to be filed under Article

226 of the Constitution of India seeking the following relief:-

Of India and consequently direct the respondents to cfive the latest Vacancy Position of in East Godavari xzioinct . 2. Brief facts of the case are that, the petitioner belongs to traditional Hindu Vedic, family and well versed with Veda Parayana, having passed an examination held by Sri Sanga Veda Vidyalaya being run by Sri Kamkote Shankar Matt, Brundavanpuri, Machilipatnam, Krishan District in the year 2004. Having noticed that there are several vacancies of Vedaparayanadars in many temples in and around East Godavari District have made an application to the respondent authorities seeking appointment to the said post and accordingly the 2«d respondent vide orders dated 02.11.2011, appointed the petitioner as Vedaparayanadar in Moolapet in Nellore District. But however, due to certain family issues and as well as the health condition of the petitioner, the petitioner

could not report to duty at Moolapet, Nellore District as directed by the 2"^ respondent and hence requested the 2'«i respondent to appoint him in any temple situated in East Godavari District by way of representation dated 08.02.2014 to the Sth respondent, basing on which, the 2"‘i respondent herein addressed a letter to the 3*^ respondent requesting to furnish details of the latest vacancy position of Vedaparayanadars in East Godavari District for taking further course of action in the matter.

The 2’^^ respondent vide letter dated 06.08.2014 has informed to the petitioner that there is one post of Vedaparayanadars as per cadre. strength in 6* respondent Devasthanam in East Godavari District. But however, on an enquiry, the petitioner came to know that there are several vacancies in all most all the temples situated in East Godavari District. As there was no response from the respondents with regard to the latest vacancy position in the temples situated in East Godavari District, the petitioner also got issued a legal notice on 27.12.2014 to the 2n‘i respondent, which is still pending for consideration. Challenging which, the present writ petition is filed.

On perusal of the affidavit filed by the petitioner, it appears that, though he was given an appointment in Nellore

district, due to certain health issues, he could not joint his duties at Nellore District, however, requested the 2"^ respondent furnish details of the vacancy position in the temples situated in East Godavari District was not furnished, as against which, the petitioner got issued a legal notice dated 27.12.2014 to the 2^^ respondent and as there was no response from the 2’«i respondent.

5. Learned Government Pleader for Endowments submitted written instructions vide letter No.A2/11024(48)/23/2023, dated 30.03.2023, with regard to vacancy position of Vedaparayandars in the temples in East Godavari District. The vacancy position of Vedaparayandars in erstwhile East Godavari
