THE HON’BLE SRI JUSTICE K.SREENIVASA REDDY Criminal Petition No.1733 of 2023
ORDER:-
This Criminal Petition, under Section 482 Cr.P.C., has been filed by the petitioners/A1 to A4 to quash the proceedings in C.C.No.1195 of 2022 on the file of the learned Judicial Magistrate of First Class, Yemmiganur.
2. A charge sheet has been filed as against the petitioners for
the offences punishable under Sections 498-A r/w 34 IPC and Sections 3 and 4 of the Dowry Prohibition Act.

defacto complainant both mentally and physically. A2 to A4 also instigated A1, and at their instigation, A1 used to beat the complainant. All the accused demanded to bring additional dowry of Rs.5.00 lakhs and threatened that if she failed to do so, A1 would give divorce and perform another marriage. Since the defacto complainant failed to provide additional dowry, she was necked out of her matrimonial home.

A1 and petitioners 3 and 4 are brothers of A1. Their presence before the trial Court has been dispensed with, except on those dates when the learned Magistrate feels that their presence is necessary.
