ORDER :
This writ petition is filed ‘to declare the action of the official respondents in not preventing the unofficial respondents from conducting unauthorised aqua culture activities in the lands situated in Sy.Nos.204 to 211, 627, 631, 655 and 954 pertaining to Epuru Bit-I of Pantapalem village which causes damage to the lands owned by the petitioners situated in Sy.Nos.204, 206, 207, 209 to 211 etc of the same village, as illegal and arbitrary.’
On 10.09.2015, when the writ petition came up for admission, this Court passed the interim order directing the respondents 6 to 8 to restrain respondents 9 to 15 from conducting aqua culture activity.
Today when the matter came up for hearing, learned Government Pleader appearing for the official respondents submits that the aqua culture ponds of the unofficial respondents were already demolished by the Department in the year 2015 as they were conducting unauthorised aquaculture.
In view of the categorical statement made by the learned Government Pleader, no orders are necessary in this writ petition and the writ petition is, accordingly, closed. However, it is made clear that if the unofficial respondents are conducting any aquaculture activities contrary to the Rules, the official respondents are directed to take appropriate action in accordance with law. No order as to costs. Miscellaneous petitions, if any, pending in this writ petition, shall stand closed.
