ORDER :
This writ petition is filed ‘to declare the inaction on the part of the official respondents in not taking any action on the representations of the petitioners dated 21.12.2016 and 18.01.2017 in preventing the illegal activity of the unofficial respondents 7 to 23 in converting the agricultural lands into salt water prawn culture tanks in Annexure-I of Jallagunta village, Katrekona Mandal, East Godadavari District, as illegal and arbitrary.’
Today when the matter came up for hearing, Sri D M Vidya Sagar, learned Assistant Government Pleader for Fisheries on instructions submits that the unofficial respondents obtained permission of certificate of registration for the existing ponds for fresh water aquaculture and as on today, the said permission is in existence.
In view of the categorical statement made by the learned Assistant Government Pleader, no further orders are necessary in this writ petition. However, it is made clear that if the unofficial respondents violate the conditions of the permissions which are granted to them, it is always open to the official respondents to take action against them in accordance with law.
The writ petition is, accordingly, disposed of. No order as to costs. Miscellaneous petitions, if any, pending in this writ petition, shall stand closed.
