ORDER:-

The present Writ Petition came to be filed, seeking the following relief:-

“to declare the action of the respondent no.2 in proposing to demolish the house of the petitioner bearing D.No.2 of Perumallapalli Village, Tirupathi Rural Mandal, Chittoor District during the pendency of the application Serial No.163 for regularization of house bearing D.No.2 of Perumallapalli Village, Tirupati Rural Mandal, Chittoor District submitted under G.O.Ms.No.166 Revenue (Assignments, Pot) Department, dated 16.02.2008 being illegal and incorrect.”

Vide an order dated 24.06.2009, this Court while issuing notice ordered status-quo as on that day to be maintained till further orders. The said interim order is in force till date. Though various grounds are raised, Sri T. Lakshmi Narayana, learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that his request in the present Writ Petition is only for a direction to respondent no.2, to consider the application made for regularization of house bearing D.No.2 of Perumallapalli Village.

Sri G.R. Sudhakar, learned Standing Counsel for Gram Panchayat would submit that, if the application of the petitioner is still under consideration and if it is otherwise

permissible, a direction may be given to the authorities to proceed in accordance with law.

Having regard to the request made, the Writ Petition is disposed of directing the respondents to deal with the application of the petitioner, if it is still pending consideration, in accordance with law. Till such time, Status-quo as on today shall be maintained. There shall be no order as to costs.

Miscellaneous petitions pending, if any, shall stand closed.
