Heard Sri Kolluri Arjun Chowdary, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner, Sri Raviteja Padiri, learned Standing Counsel appearing for respondents 3 and 4 and Sri V. Vinod K. Reddy, learned Standing Counsel appearing for respondent No.6.

The petitioner had been granted old age pension earlier. However, the said old age pension was stopped from January 2020. Being aggrieved by the said stoppage of old age pension, the petitioner had approached this Court contending that she fulfills all the eligibility criteria mentioned under G.O.Ms.No.174, dated 13.12.2019 and would be entitled for such pension from January, 2020 onwards.

Similar matters had come up before this Hon’ble Court and had been disposed of by way of a common order dated 27.09.2021 in W.P.No.18874 of 2021 and batch.

Following the said order, this writ petition is disposed of with the following directions.

The respondents are directed to make payment of pension to the petitioner from the month when it was stopped, to till date forthwith.

The Mandal Parishad Development Officer, Chimakurthy Mandal is directed to receive and verify the documents of the petitioner, within seven days from the date of this order.

If the Mandal Parishad Development Officer is otherwise busy, he shall depute Panchayat Secretary and Village Revenue Officer of the Lakshmipuram Village, for this purpose.

The Mandal Parishad Development Officer shall intimate the date of verification of documents to the petitioner two days in advance.

The petitioner shall submit relevant/requisite documents to establish her eligibility for entitlement of pension for which she is seeking before the Mandal Parishad Development Officer or the officer deputed.

Upon production and verification of the documents submitted by the petitioner, the Mandal Parishad Development Officer shall examine the eligibility of the petitioner and include her name in the eligibility list within seven days thereafter.

If, the case of the petitioner is not considered for Social Security Pension Scheme, the Mandal Parishad Development Officer shall intimate reasons in writing to the petitioner immediately under proper acknowledgement.

The respondents are directed to continue the payment of pension to the petitioner every month, if she satisfies the eligibility criteria.

The entire process shall be completed within three weeks from the date of this order.

As a sequel, pending miscellaneous petitions, if any, shall stand

closed. There shall be no order as to costs.
