Heard Sri Shaik Jeelani Basha, learned counsel for the petitioner, and learned Assistant Government Pleader for Commercial Tax representing on behalf of respondents.

Having regard to the submissions made by them, the writ petition is disposed of, without going into the merits of the case.

The first respondent issued a demand notice dated 08.06.2020 to the petitioner and Garnishee notice dated 25.08.2020 to respondents 3 and 4 under Section 29 of the Andhra Pradesh Value Added Tax Act, 2005 demanding payment of arrears of alleged tax amount of Rs.7,17,364/-. The same is under challenge in the instant writ petition.

Now, the submission of learned counsel for the petitioner is that the petitioner paid certain amounts, which were not credited before raising the demand, and hence, while granting reasonable time to the petitioner to pay the demanded amount, the 1^st respondent may be directed to give credit to the deposits made by him.

Learned Government Pleader reported no objection for granting reasonable time.

In that view, this writ petition is disposed of granting two (2) months’ time to the petitioner from today for making payment of the demanded arrears of alleged tax amount of Rs.7,17,364/subject to deducting amounts paid by the petitioner . There shall be no order as to costs.

As a sequel, miscellaneous applications pending for

consideration, if any, shall stand closed.
