Heard Sri Ajay Pratap Singh, the learned counsel for the petitioner and Sri Alok Srivastava, the learned Standing Counsel for the State and perused the records.

By means of the instant writ petition the petitioner has challenged the validity of an order dated 21.01.2026 passed by the Joint Commissioner (Food), Lucknow Division, Lucknow in Appeal No. 5404 of 2025 filed under Section 13(3) of the Uttar Pradesh Essential Commodities (Regulation of Sale and Distribution Control) Order, 2016, whereby an application for interim relief filed by the petitioner has been rejected.

After advancing submissions at some length, the learned counsel for the petitioner confined his submission to the effect that there is already an order dated 04.11.2025 passed by this Court in Writ C No. 10683/2025 directing expeditious disposal of the appeal and, therefore, the petitioner's appeal should be decided expeditiously.

The learned Standing Counsel has no objection against the aforesaid limited submission of the learned counsel for the

Accordingly, the present petition is disposed off by directing that the Appeal No. 5404 of 2025 filed by the petitioner be decided by the appellate authority/ Joint Commissioner (Food), Lucknow Division, Lucknow, expeditiously, say within a period of one month from today.
