The grievance of the petitioner is that despite the fact that the District Magistrate, Azamgarh by order dated 09.12.2025 has recorded a finding that the petitioner is entitled to the benefit of Government Order dated 28.02.2020, the ex-gratia payment of Rs.5 lacs has not been released to the petitioner.

Sri V.K. Dixit, learned Additional Chief Standing Counsel is directed to seek instructions in the matter and apprise the Court as to why the ex-gratia payment of Rs.5 lacs has not yet been released despite the order of District Magistrate, Azamgarh dated 09.12.2025.

In case, instructions are not supplied by the next date fixed, respondent no.3District Magistrate, Azamgarh shall remain present before the Court along with the record to assist the Court.
