Pursuant to order dated 21.04.2026, instructions under the signature of Finance Controller, Uttar Pradesh Police Headquarter, Lucknow dated 25.04.2026 is placed by the learned Standing Counsel appearing on behalf of the State-respondents today in the Court, is taken on record.

It is stated in the aforesaid instruction that pension of the petitioner has been revised and now the petitioner is getting his pension treating last salary Rs. 64,100/- in place of 60,400/-. Revised authority letter is also appended along with instructions. From the perusal of aforesaid instructions, it transpires that pension of the petitioner has again been revised with effect from 25.04.2026.

It is argued by the learned counsel for the petitioner that petitioner is getting less pension since August, 2025. Nothing has been stated in the aforesaid instructions regarding payment of arrears for the period less pension has been provided to the petitioner. Apart from the same, in respect of two identical writ petitions, which are also listed today along with present writ petition in which instructions were also sought for, but no instructions were provided.

In view of the matter, as prayed by the learned Standing Counsel appearing on behalf of the State-respondents, two weeks further time is granted to seek instructions in the matter failing which the Finance Controller, Uttar Pradesh Police Headquarter, Lucknow shall remain present before this Court. It is made clear that in case it is found that pension has

been reduced without any authority of law, then same should be revised with effect from 25.04.2026 and the arrears in this regard also paid to the petitioner without any further delay.
