Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and learned Standing Counsel appearing for respondent Nos. 1 to 3.

This writ petition has been filed for the following relief:-

"Issue a writ, order or direction in the nature of mandamus directing the respondent No.2 & 3 to issue character certificate in favour of petitioner, within stipulated period, during the pendency of instant writ petition before this Hon'ble Court."

It is submitted by learned counsel for the petitioner that the petitioner has submitted application on 6.8.2025 for issuance of character certificate which he requires for getting a private job in Mumbai but the same has not been issued so far.

Learned Standing Counsel submits that no useful purpose would be served in keeping the writ petition pending and appropriate direction may be issued to the respondent-authority to consider the grievance of the petitioner.

Accordingly, considering the facts and circumstances of the case and without going into the merits of the case, the writ petition is disposed off permitting the petitioner to submit a fresh representation before the respondent no.2-Senior Superintendent of Police, Jaunpur District Jaunpur along with a certified copy of this order within a period of one month from today. In case any such representation is filed by the petitioner,
