Heard learned counsel for petitioner, learned Standing Counsel for the State and perused the material available on record.

The grievance of the petitioner is that a seniority list was issued by the department and junior to the petitioner who finds place at Sl. No. 768 has been promoted to the post of Assistant Consolidation Officer while in the seniority list the petitioner's name finds at Sl. No. 694 has not been promoted.

After arguing the matter at some length, learned counsel for petitioner submits that the grievance of the petitioner shall be substantially redressed in case respondent no. 2 i.e., Consolidation Commissioner, U.P., Indira Bhawan Lucknow is directed to consider and decide the representation of the petitioner dated 21.12.2024 as contained in Annexure No. 3 to the writ petition within a stipulated period of time.

Learned Standing Counsel has no objection to this innocuous prayer.

In light of the above, with the consent of parties, this writ petition is disposed of at the admission stage with a direction to the respondent no. 2 i.e., Consolidation Commissioner, U.P.,
