A First Information Report was lodged by one Garima Singh who happened to be the wife of Sulabh Soni, under sections 498-

A, 307, 377, 323, 504, 506 IPC. This gave rise to Case Crime No.24 of 2024. In that FIR Sulab Soni (the husband); Pushpa Soni (mother-in-law); Rajendra Kumar Soni (father-in-law); Amit Kumar Soni (Jeth) and Dr. Ashish Kumar Soni (Jeth) were made the accused. One more FIR dated 7.4.2024 giving rise to Case Crime No.59 of 2024 under sections 504 and 506 IPC, Police Station Expressway, District Commissionerate Gautam Budh Nagar was lodged by the husband-Sulabh Soni against his own wife Garima Singh, Satya Prakash (father-in-law) and Rajesh Verma (sala).

Since the matter was agitated before the High Court by the accused in Case Crime No.24 of 2024 by means of writ petitions being Criminal Misc. Writ Petition No.15221 of 2024 filed by Pushpa Soni; Criminal Misc. Writ Petition No.14777 of 2024 filed by Amit Kumar Soni and Dr. Ashish Kumar Soni and Criminal Misc. Writ Petition No.15469 of 2024 filed by the husband-Sulabh Soni, the writ petitions were connected with each other and were heard together. Also, the writ petition filed by the wife-Garima Singh being Criminal Misc. Writ Petition No.12841 of 2024 was attached to these writ petitions and it was also heard along with the other writ petitions.

On 11.9.2024, all the writ petitioners in the four writ petitions were directed to settle their matters before the Allahabad High Court Mediation and Conciliation Centre and the Mediation Centre after making all endeavours successfully came to a settlement on 11.3.2025 and the settlement agreement was therein drawn on that date. The terms of the settlement are contained in paragraph 7 of the settlement agreement.

On the last occasion, we had asked the petitioners to inform as

to whether the Divorce Petition had been withdrawn. The petitioner in Criminal Misc. Writ Petition No.15469 of 2024 has filed a Supplementary Affidavit containing the order dated 29.3.2025 of the Family Court by which the Divorce Petition had been withdrawn. The Supplementary Affidavit be kept on record.

Under such circumstances, now since the parties had settled the matter by means of the settlement agreement dated 11.3.2025 before the Allahabad High Court Mediation and Conciliation Centre, we are of the view that no useful purpose would be served by keeping the proceedings pending. The FIR dated 28.5.2024 giving rise to Case Crime No.24 of 2024 under sections 498A, 307, 377, 323, 504 and 506 IPC, Police Station Mahila Thana, District Auraiya which was under challenge in Criminal Misc. Writ Petition Nos.15221 of 2024; 15469 of 2024 and 14777 of 2024 and the FIR dated 7.4.2024 giving rise to Case Crime No.59 of 2024 under sections 504 and 506 IPC, Police Station Expressway, District Commissionerate Gautam Budh Nagar which was under challenge in Criminal Misc. Writ Petition No.12841 of 2024 are, therefore, quashed. All the writ petitions are, accordingly, disposed of.
