1.Heard learned counsel for the applicant and learned counsel appearing on behalf of private respondent as also learned A.G.A..

2.By means of present petition, the petitioner has prayed for quashing of entire proceedings of Crl. Complaint No.2296 of 2022 Umme Kulsum versus Mohd. Ansar and others as well as order dated 1.5.2024 passed by ACJM-I, Ayodhya whereby the petitioner has been summoned under sections 498(A), 323 I.P.C. and section 4 D.P. Act.

3.Vide order dated 18.10.2024 passed by this Court, the matter was sent for mediation before Mediation & Conciliation Centre of this Court.

4.Learned counsel for the parties submit that the mediation has completed and the parties have arrived at a settlement agreement which is on record. Thus, it is prayed that on the basis of settlement agreement arrived at between the parties before the Mediation Centre of this Court, the impugned proceedings are liable to be quashed.

5.A perusal of the mediation report dated 6.12.2024 shows that the mediation has successfully completed and the parties to the dispute have arrived at a settlement agreement. It has been resolved that they have no claims or demand against each other with respect to the criminal complaint No.2296 of 2022 (supra).

6.In view of the above and considering the settlement agreement as also the judgment of Supreme Court in (2012)10 SCC 303 Gian Singh versus State of Punjab and another, the impugned proceedings are quashed.

7.The petition is accordingly disposed of.
