This is an application for amendment in the prayer clause of the petition by correcting the claim petition number so as to make it Claim Petition No. 1 of 2013 in place of Claim Petition No.1 of 2022.

The application is allowed. The learned counsel for the petitioner may carry our necessary amendments forthwith.

Singh Royekwar, the learned counsel for the opposite party no.5.

By means of the instant petition filed under Article 227 of the Constitution of India the petitioner has sought issuance of a direction to the U.P. State Public Services Tribunal, Lucknow for deciding Application No.26 of 2024 pending in Claim Petition No.1 of 2013 expeditiously.

The very object of formation of Tribunals was to ensure speedy justice to the litigants of specific classes and the State Public Services Tribunal was constituted for rendering speedy justice to the State Government employees.

The claim petition filed by the petitioner in the year 2013 is pending for the past more than 12 years and meanwhile the petitioner has attained an advanced age of 75 years.

In these circumstances, the petition is allowed and a direction is issued to U.P. State Public Services Tribunal, Lucknow to decide Application No.26 of 2024 pending in Claim Petition No.1 of 2013 expeditiously in accordance with law without granting any unnecessary adjournment to any of the parties and by fixing dates at short intervals.
