Heard Sri Ram Pratap Yadav, learned counsel for the petitioner, Sri Dhirendra Singh, learned standing counsel for the State-respondents and perused the record.

This writ petition has been filed by the petitioner seeking following relief:

"(i) Issue a writ order or direction in the nature of mandamus commanding the District Magistrate, Azamgarh to look into the grievances of the petitioner in view of the Government Order dated 01.05.2017 whereunder 'Anti-Land Grabber Task Force' has been enacted and to take appropriate action against the contesting respondents indulging in the land grabbing of the petitioner, forthwith without any further delay, in the better interest of justice.

(ii) Issue a writ order or direction in the nature of mandamus commanding the respondents to maintain status quo in regard to the land in dispute till such exercise is completed by the District Magistrate."

In the instant case the allegation made on behalf of the petitioner is that the private respondents are the land mafias and although a representation has been moved before the authority concerned, however the same is not being considered.

Per contra, learned Standing Counsel for the State-respondents submits that the grievance of the petitioner shall be suitably looked into by the respondent no. 2 / District Magistrate, Azamgarh in the light of Government Order dated, 01.05.2017, in accordance with law within a shortest possible period.

In view of the above, the present writ petition is disposed of with the liberty granted to the petitioner to move a fresh representation annexing all the documents along with the certified copy of this order before the District Magistrate, Azamgarh / respondent no. 2, who shall consider the same in light of Government Order dated, 01.05.2017 on its own merit, as expeditiously as possible, in accordance with law.

It is made clear that this Court has not considered the claim of the petitioner on merits.
