Heard learned counsel for the petitioner, learned State counsel for opposite party Nos. 1 to 4.

In view of order being passed, notice to opposite party No.5 is dispensed with.

Petition has been filed challenging order dated 16th July, 2024 passed in Case No. 2647/2022 under Section 56(1-A) Indian Stamp Act, 1899.

Learned counsel for the petitioner on the basis of instructions submits that in terms of the deficiencies indicated in the initial order passed under Section 47 of the Act, such deficiency has already been good by the petitioner and in this petition, relief claimed is confined to the fact that interest awarded against the petitioner at the rate of 1.5 per cent per annum may be recovered in installments or in any other convenient mode.

Learned State counsel submits that such a discretion may be exercised only by the authority concerned for which petitioner may approach the said authority.

In view of such submission being made, liberty is granted to the petitioner to make a representation before the concerned authority with regard to such grievance which may be considered and decided in accordance with law within a period of four weeks on the date of certified copy of this order is produced before the concerned authority with such a representation.

In view of such direction, petition stands disposed of.
