Pursuant to order dated 13.08.2024 supplementary affidavit has been filed today which is taken on record.

Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and Sri Birendra Prasad Shukla, learned counsel for the respondent.

This writ petition has been filed with the following prayers:-

"i. Issue a writ, order or direction in the nature of mandamus commanding and directing the respondents to consider the Women's studies subject as an interdisciplinary subject of Sociology subject in Higher Education Services by Uttar Pradesh Education Services Selection Commission.

ii. Issue a writ, order or direction in the nature of mandamus commanding the respondent/Uttar Pradesh Education Services Selection Commission to decide the petitioner's representation dated."

It is contended by learned counsel for the applicant that a direction may be issued to respondent to consider the candidature of the petitioner in the Women's Studies subject as an interdisciplinary subject of Sociology subject in Higher Education Services.

Ventilating her grievance, she has made a representation before respondent on 18.08.2022 which has not been attended till date.

As no useful purpose would be served in keeping the matter pending, the matter is being disposed of at this stage without calling for counter affidavit, with a direction upon respondent to decide the representation of petitioner dated 18.08.2022, strictly in accordance with law by reasoned and speaking order, expeditiously, preferably within a period of two months from the date of production of certified copy of this order.

With the aforesaid directions, writ petition stands disposed of.
