Heard learned counsel for petitioner, learned State Counsel appearing on behalf of opposite parties 1and 2 and Mr. Ramesh Chandra Pandey learned counsel for opposite party No.3.

Petition has been filed seeking a direction to the competent authority for payment of interest on delayed payment of retiral benefits due to petitioner in lieu of the fact that petitioner has superannuated from service on 30th June, 2019. It is submitted that earlier petitioner had filed writ A No. 6081 of 2023 which was disposed of vide order dated 24th August, 2023 on the basis of submission made by learned counsel for oppsotie parties that the entire dues shall be paid within a period of three months. It is submitted that despite such an undertaking, dues have not yet been paid for which contempt petition is also pending.

Considering aforesaid facts, in case petitioner has not been paid the retiral dues within a period of three months as undertaken on 24th August, 2023, the opposite party shall consider petitioner's grievance regarding payment of interest on the same within a period of eight weeks from the date a certified copy of this order is submitted before the said authority.

With the aforesaid directions, the writ petition stands disposed of.
