Heard learned counsel for petitioner as well as learned Standing Counsel for the State.

It has been submitted by learned counsel for petitioner that petitioner is working on the post of Constable Civil Police, Department of Home in District Hardoi while her husband Mr. Ajay Panwar is working on the post of Fireman in U.P. Police and presently posted in District Hapur.

It has further been submitted that, it is policy of the State Government to post the husband and wife as far as as possible together in the same district and to that extent the petitioner has given a representation to respondent No. 2 on 9.8.2024. The grievance is that till date no decision has been taken on the representation of the petitioner and seeks liberty to file a fresh representation before the authority concerned.

Learned Standing Counsel does not object if a direction is issued to respondent for expeditious disposal of the representation preferred by the petitioner.

Accordingly, without entering into the merits of the case, the writ petition is disposed of with a liberty to the petitioner to file a fresh joint representation of the petitioner and her husband before opposite party No.2 i.e. Additional Director General of Police (Establishment) D.G.P. Headquarter, U.P., Lucknow who shall consider and decide the same, in accordance with law, within a period of eight weeks from the date such representatin is amde along with a certified copy of this order and communicate the decision to the petitioner.
