Shri Sunil Bajpayee, learned Additional Chief Standing Counsel has filed an affidavit in terms of the earlier order passed by this Court dated 06.09.2024, which is taken on record.
He further submits that there were two disciplinary inquiries against the applicant; one related to the charge sheet dated 24.04.2014, where the State has taken a decision to cancel the said charge sheet and a proposal has been sent to the highest authority for approval.
A specific pin pointed query was put to learned Additional Chief Standing Counsel as to when this proposal has been sent, to which it has been informed that it was done only yesterday, i.e., 26.07.2024.
So far as the other charge sheet dated 04.09.2017 is concerned, it has been informed that the State proposes to pass a punishment order. However, he could not dispute the fact that the punishment order has not yet been passed. He further submits that he shall ensure that the order passed by the WritCourt shall be complied with in its true letter and spirit within next 10 days.
In this view of the matter, this case shall come up on 16th October, 2024.
In the meantime, an affidavit of compliance be filed, failing which, the respondent shall appear in person before this Court on the next date.
