Heard Ms. Manisha Singh, learned counsel for the petitioners and learned Standing Counsel for the State.

The present petition has been filed with the following reliefs:-

"(i) Issue a writ, order or direction in the nature of mandamus commanding the respondents not to harass the petitioners or interfere in their liberty as live in relationship couple.

(ii) Issue a writ, order or direction in the nature of mandamus regarding protection of the petitioners from the respondents and permit the petitioners to live in relationship with each other without any intervention of respondents."

Contention of learned counsel for the petitioners is that both the petitioners are major. In support of majority of petitioner No.1, her High School marksheet has been annexed at Page-14 of the petition. It is further submitted that both the petitioners are living together in live in relationship. It is further submitted that family members of petitioner No.1 are not happy with the relationship of the petitioners, therefore, for protection of their peaceful live in relationship, the petitioners have moved an application dated 22.11.2023 before Superintendent of Police, Ghazipur through registered post.

Considering the aforesaid submission, it is directed that the petitioners will move a fresh application before Superintendent of Police, Ghazipur within a period of ten days for protection of their live in relationship. In case any such application is filed, the Superintendent of Police, Ghazipur will pass appropriate order for protection of peaceful live in relationship of the petitioners.

It is further directed that till disposal of the aforesaid application, Superintendent of Police, Ghazipur will also ensure that the petitioners will not be harassed by any person.

With the aforesaid direction, the petition is disposed of .
