Heard the counsel for the petitioner.

The claim of the petitioner in the present writ petition is that he is entitled to be appointed as Constable under the Uttar Pradesh Recruitment of Dependants of Government Servants Dying-inHarness Rules, 1974 in place of his father Amarjit Rai who was employed as Constable in the U.P. Police and died on 11.7.2019 while still in service.

It has been stated in the petition that the petitioner has submitted representations for the aforesaid purpose but no decision is being taken on the representations of the petitioner.

It would serve no useful purpose to keep the petition pending.

¶10

The petitioner may make a fresh representation before the Superintendent of Police, Kushinagar bringing all the necessary facts to his notice who on receipt of the said representation shall decide the same within a period of three months from the date of filing the same and take appropriate action in accordance with law within the next period of one month.

With the aforesaid direction, the writ petition is disposed of .
