On 13.03.1996 District Magistrate, Pilibhit had passed an order under Section 144 CrPC for maintaining law and order situation in the concerned area and had also stopped sale and trade on the basis of lottery. Now the State Government has declared the trade and sale on the basis of lottery to be illegal and against the law. The impugned order was made effective from the date of the order upto 12.05.1996. The said period has elapsed.
In the aforesaid circumstances, this Court is of the view that this revision has become infructuous and is dismissed as such.
