The sole prayer made in the instant writ petition is for a direction to respondent no. 4 to decide the representation of the petitioner dated 9.11.2021.

The petitioner's husband was working as line-man with the respondents-corporation. He is stated to have suffered injuries during the course of employment and later succumbed to the same. The petitioner is stated to have filed an application before respondent no. 4 for award of compensation in terms of Section 161 of the Electricity Act, 2003. Since the said application dated 9.11.2021 has not been decided so far and, therefore, the instant writ petition has been filed.

Sri Adarsh Bhushan, learned counsel appearing on behalf of respondents no. 2, 3 & 4 very fairly stated that the representation shall be decided expeditiously.

Accordingly, the writ petition is disposed of with direction to respondent no. 4 to decide the representation dated 9.11.2021 by means of a speaking order expeditiously, preferably, within a period of twelve weeks from the date of communication of the instant order along with photocopy of the representation dated 9.11.2021.
