In the written instructions supplied today, a categorical statement has been made that the payment of compensation for the land in question has been made to the petitioners after making recovery from those persons to whom the compensation had wrongly been paid. The document appended at page 50 of the written instructions indicates that payments have been received by the petitioners on 10.10.2022.
It seems that after receipt of the compensation the petitioners have lost interest in the matter. The writ petition is rendered infructuous with liberty to the petitioners to seek recall in case any claim survives in the present petition.
Accordingly, the writ petition is dismissed as infructuous.
