Heard learned counsel for the petitioner; Shri S.K. Mehrotra, learned Standing Counsel and Shri Raghav Dwivedi, learned counsel for National Highways Authority of India.

The petitioner is before this Court with request to issue direction to the respondent no.2, District Magistrate/Collector, District Azamgarh to decide the representation dated 17.2.2020 within stipulated period.

Shri Raghav Dwivedi, learned counsel for the respondent no.4 has placed reliance on the communication dated 03.2.2020, which is appended as Annexure No.5 to the writ petition, wherein categorical report has been submitted by the Project Director, National Highways Authority of India, Varanasi to the Prescribed Authority/Special Land Acquisition Officer, Azamgarh (U.P.) indicating that no excess land has been taken for widening of the road.

No useful purpose would be served in keeping the writ petition pending consideration.

In view of above, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the issue and considering the facts and circumstances of the case, this writ petition is disposed of finally with a direction to the competent authority to look into the grievance of the petitioner and redress the same after affording opportunity of hearing to all the stake holders in the matter, specially the Project Director, National Highway Authority of India, Varanasi in accordance with law within a period of two months from the date of production of a copy of this order before him.

The party shall file computer generated copy of such order downloaded from the official website of High Court Allahabad, self attested by the applicants alongwith a self attested identity proof of the said person (preferably Aadhar Card) mentioning the mobile number to which the
