Petitioner is before this Court with a request commanding the respondent authorities not to arrest the husband of the petitioner and his name may be deleted from the register of deserters in pursuance of the letter dated 31.10.2020 issued by Major Senior Record Officer Brigade of the Guards OIC NE Group. Alternatively prayer is made directing the respondent authorities to decide the representation dated 20.11.2020 (Annexure No. 4 to the writ petition).
After the matter has been heard at some length and the Court has proceeded to indicate his mind in negative, learned counsel for the petitioners has contended that he does not intend to press the present writ petition.
Consequently, the writ petition is dismissed as not pressed. However, it is always open to the petitioner to invoke the remedy as available in law.
