Heard Sri Ajeet Kumar Singh, learned counsel for the petitioners and Sri Devesh Vikram, learned Standing Counsel for the State respondents.

Present writ petition is preferred seeking following reliefs:-

"(a) Issue a writ, order or direction in the nature of mandamus directing the respondent authorities to pay the insurance/compensation amount to the petitioners under Pradhanmantri Fasal Beema Yojna in respect of damage of their crops of season Kharif of the year 2019.

(b) Issue a writ, order or direction in the nature of mandamus directing the respondent No.2 to decide the representation dated 09.09.2020 (Annexure No.4 to the writ petition) filed by the petitioners regarding payment of insurance/compensation amount under Pradhanmantri Fasal Beema Yojna, as expeditiously as possible within stipulated period."

At the very outset, learned Standing Counsel states that vide letter dated 21.10.2019 respondent no. 4, i.e., District Agriculture Officer, Ballia has directed National Insurance Company Ltd. to provide compensation to the insured farmers in respect of damage of their crops due to natural disaster.

In the facts and circumstances, no useful purpose would be served in keeping the writ petition pending for consideration. It would be appropriate for the petitioners to move an appropriate application before the respondent No. 5, i.e., National Insurance Company Ltd for redressal of their grievance.

In the facts and circumstances of the case, on consent and without expressing any opinion on the merits of the issue, the writ petition stands disposed of with observation that in case the petitioners move a fresh representation to the respondent no. 5 ventilating their grievance within three week from today, the same would be considered and decided strictly in accordance with law, as expeditiously as possible and preferably within two months thereafter.

The party shall file computer generated copy of such order downloaded from the official website of High Court Allahabad,

self attested by the petitioners alongwith a self attested identity proof of the said persons (preferably Aadhar Card) mentioning the mobile number to which the said Aadhar Card is linked.

The concerned Court/Authority/Official shall verify the authenticity of such computerized copy of the order from the official website of High Court Allahabad and shall make a declaration of such verification in writing.
