The grievance of the petitioner is that a Nali (drain) constructed by the Rural Engineering Department under Dr. Ram Manohar Lohiya Samagra Gram Vikas Yojana has been blocked by the respondents as a result of which there is water logging. It is the case of the petitioner that representing his grievance an application has been moved before the Sub-Divisional Magistrate, Meerut who initiated the proceedings by calling for report from the revenue inspector concerned but thereafter the proceeding has not been brought to its logical conclusion as a result of which the petitioner apprehends breakout of diseases, etc due to water logging.
Considering the facts of the case, we deem it appropriate to dispose off this petition by requiring the third respondent (SubDivisional Magistrate, Meerut) to bring the proceedings, on the application of the petitioner, to its logical conclusion after giving opportunity of hearing to the private respondents and after calling for report from the concerned officers/inspector. It is provided that such proceeding shall be brought to its logical conclusion, preferably, within a period of four weeks from the date of filing of copy of this order.
The petition stands disposed off .
