Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and learned A.G.A. for the State-respondents.

This writ petition has been filed praying for the following reliefs :-

"(i) Issue a writ order or direction in the nature of mandamus directing the respondents to delete the name of petitioner from criminal history-sheet and not to be monitor the history-sheet of the petitioner in P.S.- Sadar Bazar, District- Shahjahanpur.

(ii) Issue a writ order or direction in the nature of mandamus directing the respondent no.2 to decide the representation dated 23.07.2021 filed by the petitioner within stipulated period as fixed by this Hon'ble Court."

Learned A.G.A. finds out that the petitioner has already submitted a representation dated 23.07.2021 before the Superintendent of Police, Shahjahanpur which may be directed to be decided in accordance with law.

In view of the aforesaid and without expressing any opinion on the merits of the case of the petitioner, the writ petition is disposed of directing the respondent no.2 to decide the representation of the petitioner, in accordance with law, expeditiously preferably within a period of six weeks from the date of presentation of the copy of this order along with the copy of the representation dated 23.7.2021.
