Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and learned A.G.A. for the State.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that against the attachment order dated 01.04.2021 passed by the District Magistrate, Baghpat, under section 14 of U.P. Gangster and Anti Social Activities (Prevention) Act, 1986, a release application/ representation dated 02.06.2021, under section 15 of the Act which is pending before the District Magistrate, Baghpat. He further submits that the aforesaid application may be directed to be decided expeditiously within a time bound period.

Learned A.G.A. has no objection on the aforesaid request of the petitioner.

In view of the aforesaid and without expressing any opinion on the merits of the case of the petitioner, the writ petition is disposed off directing the District Judge, Baghpat to decide the representation of the petitioner dated 02.06.2021, under section 15 of the Act, expeditiously preferably within two months from the date of production of a copy of this order along with copy of the application dated 02.06.2021, after affording reasonable opportunity of hearinrg to the petitioner.
