Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and learned Standing Counsel for the State.

The petitioner has preferred the present writ petition with the following main prayer :-

"(I) Issue a writ, order or direction in the nature of mandamus commanding the respondent no.2/District Magistrate, Banda to decide the application dated 01.03.2019 for transfer the arm licence of bounbel Barrel Gun (12 Bore) licence No.3882 of 1966, P.S. Palhari, District Banda, in favour of petitioner, within stipulated periods, which this Hon'ble Court may deem fit and proper under the circumstances of the case."

Learned Standing Counsel appearing for the respondent states that subject to verification of all facts, the application as made by the petitioner for transfer of an arm licence, which was in the name of his father, shall be duly evaluated and disposed of in accordance with law and preferably within a period of three months from the date of presentation of a certified copy of this order before respondent No.2.

Accordingly, and without going into the merits of the claim of the petitioner, this petition shall stand disposed of in light of the statement noted above.
