This writ petition has been filed, inter alia, for the following relief;

"(I) Issue writ, order or direction in the nature of CERTIORARI and quash the impugned order dated 18.7.2019 by which the respondent no. 5 has rejected the proposed map of the house in question, regarding proposed building at Plot No. 73, Block-B, Scheme-7, Gutaiya, Kanpur Nagar."

After arguing the matter for quite sometime, learned counsel for the petitioner has confined his prayer to the extent that a direction may be issued the Respondent No. 2, Commissioner, Kanpur Division, Kanpur Nagar to decide his appeal dated 18.10.2019 pending before it within a stipulated period.

Heard learned counsel for the petitioner, Sri Shivam Yadav, learned counsel for the Kanpur Development Authority and perused the record.

Considering the facts and circumstances of the case, we request the Respondent No. 2, Commissioner, Kanpur Division, Kanpur Nagar to decide the appeal dated 18.10.2019 pending before it in accordance with law expeditiously preferably within eight weeks from the date of receipt of the a certified copy of this order.

We make it clear that we have not entered into the merits of the claim being made by the petitioner and the same shall be decided by the authority concerned on its own merits.

The writ petition is, accordingly, disposed of.
