Heard Sri Ashok Kumar Singh Bais, learned counsel for the petitioner, Dr. S.K. Yadav, learned Standing Counsel appearing on behalf of the respondents and perused the record.

This writ petition has been filed, inter alia, for the following relief;

"(i) issue a writ order or direction in the nature of mandamus directing and restraining the respondent concerned not to transmit the 11000 K.V. Electricity Line over the Abadi area of Village Ghadkauli, Tahsil Sadar District Saharanpur by deciding the representations dated 3.6.2020 and 13.6.2020 submitted before the respondents No. 2 and 4 within some specific period as this Hon'ble Court may deem fit and proper under the facts and circumstances of the case, so that justice may be done."

The grievance of the petitioner is that 11000 KVA electric line is passing over the Abadi area of Village Ghadkauli, Tehsil Sadar, District Saharanpur. The petitioners want that the aforesaid electricity line be shifted to some alternative place.

The petitioner for the purpose may approach the District Magistrate, concerned, under Rule 3 of The Works of Licensees Rules-2006.

In view of the above provision, we dispose of the writ petition with liberty to the petitioner to approach the Respondent No. 2, District Magistrate, Saharanpur, by means of a fresh representation within a period of two weeks from today. In the event any such representation is filed, the District Magistrate will get the facts verified and thereafter take appropriate action in accordance with law most expeditiously, if possible within six weeks from the date of receipt of the representation.
