Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and learned Standing Counsel appearing for the State.

This petition has been filed with the following prayer:

"i. Issue a writ, order or direction in the nature of mandamus directing the Additional District Magistrate (Admin), Azamgarh to decide the Case No. 514/2008-09, Computerized Case No. 201815060000215, Ram Naresh and others Vs. Gaon Sabha and others' fixed by this Hon'ble Court."

It is contended by the learned counsel for the petitioner that the case under Section 28 of the Land Revenue Act is pending before the authority concerned since 2016 and despite several dates being fixed, the case is not being decided.

Learned Standing Counsel has referred to the order-sheet which is enclosed Annexure No. 6 and stated that repeated adjournments have been made only due to the resolution passed by the advocates for strike.

Considering the facts and circumstances of the case since the matter is pending since 2016, it is directed that the court below shall proceed to decide the case expeditiously without granting unnecessary adjournments provided there is no legal impediment.

With the aforesaid observation, this petition is disposed of.
