Sri Shanti Dhar Dwivedi, learned counsel for the petitioner and Sri Amit Sinha, learned A.G.A. for the State along with Shakeel Ahmad, Sub Inspector and the Investigation Officer.
The grievance of the petitioner is that though on 06.11.2018, he lodged a report against accused persons under Sections 420, 467, 468, 471 and 120B of IPC, Police Station Link Road, District Ghaziabad but till date nothing has been done by the police authorities. The petitioner has prayed for fair and impartial investigation.
Learned counsel for the State and the Investigating Officer present in the Court submit that the investigation is at the verge of completion and on 23.01.2020, non-bailable warrant has been issued against the accused persons. The Investigating Officer has assured this Court that the investigation would be completed within a month.
Considering the statement made by the Investigating Officer, present petition is disposed of expecting police authorities to complete the investigation latest by 29.02.2020.
If the investigation is not completed within the stipulated period, petitioner would be at liberty to file appropriate application for initiating contempt proceedings against the Investigating Officer.
Let a copy of this order be sent to the S.S.P., Ghaziabad, who in turn shall ensure compliance of this order.
Investigating Officer is also under the obligation to inform S.S.P. about passing of this order by producing copy of this order before him.
Petitioner would also be at liberty to apprise S.S.P. about the passing of this order.
