This petition for writ is preferred to have an appropriate writ order or direction for respondent No.3 - Regional Passport Officer, C.G.O. Complex, Kamla Nehru Nagar, Ghaziabad, U.P. to make necessary correction/renewal in passport of petitioner wherein some error has been occurred in relation to the date of birth.

As per office Memorandum dated 26th November, 2015, issued by the Ministry of External Affairs, C.P.V. Division, PV-I Section guidelines are made in regard to change/correct the dates of birth entries in the passport and further supplementary guidelines are issued in pursuance of judgment passed by the Kerala High Court also. The Ministry of External Affairs has placed a detailed grievance redressal system under the ' Passport Seva Project ' which can be addressed by Regional Passport Officer.

The petitioner before approaching this Court submitted an application to the Regional Passport Officer for redressal of his grievance and further persuaded by submitting the reminders but of no consequence.

Having considered the facts of the case, we deem it fit to dispose of this petition for writ by directing the Regional Passport Officer, C.G.O. Complex, Kamla Nehru Nagar, Ghaziabad, to consider and decide the issue sought to be agitated by the petitioner in the representation submitted by him and further ventilated in this petition for writ, expeditiously preferably within a period of one month from the date the petitioner submits a certified copy of this order along with a copy of the instant petition for writ before him.
