Learned counsel for the petitioner is permitted to correct the array of parties and implead "Registrar, Chhatrapati Shahuji Maharaj University, Kanpur Nagar and Examination Controller, Chhatrapati Shahuji Maharaj University, Kanpur Nagar" as corespondents No.4 and 5 respectively in the array of the parties to the writ petition during the course of the day.

The petitioner claims that he made a representation for the copy of the B.A. degree awarded in 1973, second copy of B.A. marks-sheets of both years, and migration certificate. The only prayer made by Sri Chandra Prakash Tiwari, learned counsel for the petitioner is that the representation may be decided within a stipulated period of time.

Ms. Sambhavi Tiwari, learned counsel for the respondentUniversity does not have any serious objection to the aforesaid prayer.

No useful purpose will be served by keeping the writ petition pending.

The matter is remitted to the newly respondent No.5Examination Controller, Chhatrapati Sahuji Maharaj University, Kanpur Nagar.

A writ of mandamus is issued commanding the respondent No.5- Examination Controller, Chhatrapati Sahuji Maharaj University, Kanpur Nagar shall decide the representation of the petitioner for the copy of the B.A. degree awarded in 1973, second copy of B.A. marks-sheets of both years, and migration certificate., if possible, within a period of three months from the

date of receipt of a certified copy of this order.

It is clarified that this Court has not gone into the veracity of the assertions made in the writ petition nor has judged the claim of the petitioner on merits. It is for the competent authority to do so with an independent application of mind.

With the aforesaid direction, the writ petition is disposed off.
