Learned Standing Counsel appearing for the second respondent states that subject to all contentions on merits being left open, the claim of the petitioner for promotion under Rule 5(1) of the U.P. Subordinate Offices Ministerial Group 'C' Posts of the Lowest Grade (Recruitment by Promotion) Rules, 2001 shall be duly attended to and disposed of in accordance with law by the said respondent within a period of two months from the date of production of a certified copy of this order.
The petitioner is permitted additionally to file a further detailed representation, if he so chooses.
Accordingly and without going into the merits of the claim of the petitioner, this petition shall stand disposed of in light of the statement noted above.
