Heard learned counsel for the applicants.

The petitioners are before this Court for a direction to initiate contempt proceeding against the opposite party for disobedience of the order of this Court dated 10.11.2009 passed in Writ-C No.59971 of 2009 filed by the applicants wherein the Court directed as under:-

"The petitioners have made several applications for redressal of their grievance before the respondent No. 3, but the same are still pending.

The respondent No. 3 is directed to look into the matter and decide the application dated 6.10.2009 filed as Annexure 7 to this writ petition, of the petitioner in accordance with law expeditiously preferably within a period of two weeks from the date on which a certified copy of this order along with the said application is presented by the petitioner before the respondent No. 3.

The writ petition is disposed of as above.

It is made clear that this Court has not adjudicated the claim on merits. "

In the present case, the writ court order has been passed in the year 2009. Now, after a long span of time, the applicants have turned up in contempt proceeding with the prayer that the order of the writ court has not been complied with. The Court is not at all aware of the situation on the spot and as such, at this belated stage, no interference in contempt proceeding can be made. However, it is always open for the applicant to press their grievance before the appropriate forum.

With these observations, the Contempt Application is disposed of.
