Heard learned counsel for the applicant, Sri Nafees Ahmad, the learned A.G.A. for the State and perused the record.
The instant application has been moved seeking anticipatory bail in light of the apprehension of the arrest of the applicant in Case Crime No. 310 of 2019, under Sections 498A, 323 I.P.C., Section 3/4 D.P. Act and Section 3/4 Muslim Women Marriage Protection Act, police station Singhawali, district Baghpat.
The Court finds itself unable to countenance the prayer for grant of anticipatory bail bearing in mind the allegations made in the first information report which are reiterated by the victim in her statement under Section 161 Cr.P.C. Additionally the Court notes that earlier also and immediately after the marriage, a dispute had arisen between the parties leading to a settlement made on 04 May 2016. It is however alleged that the demand for dowry continued even thereafter.
In view of the above, the Court finds no ground to grant the prayer for anticipatory bail.
The application consequently stands rejected .
