The sole relief claimed in the instant petition is for issuing a direction to the Court of Small Causes, before whom SCC No. 193/2012 is pending, to decide the same, within a specified time.
The suit has been instituted by the petitioner for recovery of arrears of rent and for eviction of respondent No. 2. A perusal of the order sheet reveals that evidence of the defendant is being recorded since last several dates.
Since the suit is of the year 2012, therefore, the petition is disposed of by directing the trial Court to make all endeavour to decide the suit expeditiously, without granting unnecessary adjournments to the parties, preferably within a period of six months from the date of production of certified copy of this order, provided there is no legal impediment.
