The only prayer advanced on this petition is for the disposal of an application made by the petitioner for the grant of a firearm licence. This application is stated to have been moved on 4 December 2017 and remains pending before the respondent No. 2.
Learned Standing Counsel states that the said application shall be attended to and disposed of in accordance with law and with expedition.
Accordingly and without going into the merits or otherwise of the claim of the petitioner, this petition shall stand disposed of with a direction to the second respondent to consider the application moved by the petitioner and endeavour to dispose of the same with expedition preferably within a period of two months from the date of presentation of a certified copy of this order.
