Heard learned counsel for petitioner, Shri Kshitij Shailendra and Shri Satish Chaturvedi for respondents.

The petitioner is aggrieved by order dated 24.02.2018 passed by respondent No. 3 imposing the penalty of dismissing him from service and the order dated 01.08.2018 passed by the respondent No. 4 rejecting his appeal.

Shri Satish Chaturvedi points out that statutory remedy is provided by way of revision before the Reviewing Authority in regard to the grievance of the petitioner under Rule 69 (iii) of the State Bank of India Officer Service Rules, 1992. The Reviewing Authority consists of 2-3 officers and can look into the grievance of the petitioner as raised by him in this writ petition at the first instance.

Accordingly, the writ petition is disposed off with a direction to the petitioner to approach the Reviewing Authority within a period of three weeks from today taking all the grounds as taken by him in the writ petition. In case, the petitioner files a review petition before the Authority concerned, the same shall not be rejected at its threshold only on the ground of limitation and shall be considered on its merit sympathetically.

The writ petition is disposed off.
