Heard Sri Shiv Nath Singh, learned counsel for the petitioners and Sri Mata Prasad, learned Standing Counsel for the State-Respondents.
The petitioners in the writ petition are seeking a direction to the respondents to complete the process of counselling of the Advertisement No.37/2003 in pursuance of the result of B.Ed. subject and subject of Zoology declared on 23.03.2018 and 22.03.2018 and also take steps for recommending the names of the petitioners for appointment on the post of Assistant Professor, B.Ed. and Assistant Professor, Zoology respectively.
The contention of the petitioners is that they applied against the Advertisement No.37/2003 and they have also been selected as per the select list dated 23rd March, 2018 in respect of petitioner no.1 and 22nd March, 2018 in respect of petitioner no.2 but till date their names have not been recommended by the respondents.
No useful purpose would be served by keeping this writ petition pending.
The writ petition is, therefore, disposed of with the consent of the learned counsel for the parties with the direction that if the petitioners prefer a representation before the respondent no.2, Director, Higher Education, Directorate, Allahabad, U.P. raising all their grievances as raised in the present writ petition within a period of one week from today alongwith the certified copy of this order, the respondent no.2 shall consider and decide the same in accordance with law within a further period of one week.
It is made clear that the Court has not adjudicated the claim of the petitioners on merits.
