Heard Sri Aditya Kumar Tripathi holding brief of Sri Pradeep Kumar Pandey, learned counsel for the petitioner and learned Standing Counsel for the respondents.

The petitioner in the writ petition is seeking a direction to the respondent no. 2 to grant him arrears of salary and fixation of pension under the A.C.P. Grade Pay 5400/-. Reliance has been placed on a Government Order dated 4.5.2010. In respect of his grievance, he is stated to have preferred a representation before the Commissioner, Food & Civil Supplies, Government of U.P., Lucknow, respondent no. 2 on 29.6.2018, sent by registered post on the same date, annexure-3 to the writ petition.

No useful purpose would be served in keeping this writ petition pending.

The writ petition is, therefore, disposed of with a direction to the Commissioner, Food & Civil Supplies, Government of U.P., Lucknow, respondent no. 2 to decide the petitioner's representation dated 29.6.2018, annexure-3 to the writ petition, in accordance with law within a period of three months from the date of receipt of the certified copy of this order in his office. Along with the certified copy, the petitioner shall also provide a copy of the representation dated 29.6.2018.

It is made clear that the Court has not adjudicated the claim of the petitioner on merit.
