The petitioner in the writ petition is seeking a direction to the respondents to decide the representation/Appeal of the petitioner filed under section 68 of the U.P. State Universities Act, 1973. It appears that the services of the petitioner were terminated by order dated 18.4.2017 which has also been approved by the Vice Chancellor by his order dated 17.2.2018 against which the petitioner has preferred a representation/appeal dated 14.3.2018 to the Chancellor, Chatra Pati Sahuji Maharaj University, Kanpur, Annexure-6 to the writ petition.
No useful purpose would be served in keeping this writ petition pending.
This writ petition is therefore disposed of with a request to the respondent no. 2-Chancellor, Chatra Pati Sahuji Maharaj University, Kanpur to consider and decide the petitioner's representation/appeal dated 14.3.2018 in accordance with law within a period of three months from the date of receipt of the certified copy of this order.
Alongwith the certified copy of this order, the petitioner shall also provide a copy of this representation/appeal dated 14.3.2018 to the respondent no. 2.
It is made clear that the court has not adjudicated the claim of the petitioner on merit.
