Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned standing counsel for the State-respondents.
The petitioner claims to be a retired Principal of an aided institution. His grievance is that he was engaged on honorarium basis by the Social Welfare Officer, Firozabad, for 11 months 29 days to work as Principal. His engagement was extended from time to time. According to the petitioner his date of birth is 15.12.1949, thus, he is more than 68 years old. As per Government Order dated 21.6.2016, providing for engagement of retired Teachers/Principals, the maximum age for engagement on the post of Principal on honorarium basis has been fixed as 68 years.
Under the circumstances, I do not find any good reason to issue direction for continuation of the petitioner as Principal on honorarium basis.
In view of the aforesaid, the writ petition is dismissed .
