Following orders were passed in the matter on 31st May, 2018:-

" The petitioner submits that by two Advertisement No. B.R.B.B.-EK-1 (Kara. Vi.) 2016 and No. PRPB-DO-5(1) of 2016 have been notified in the year 2016 for recruitment to the post of Fireman and Jail Warder, separately.

Submission is that the selection process has not been proceeded as yet, though the candidates have filled up the application forms.

Learned Standing Counsel prays for and is granted three weeks time to seek instructions.

As prayed, put up this matter on 16th July, 2018 as fresh. "

Learned Standing Counsel has obtained instructions, according to which on account of amendment introduced in the rule, whereby the qualification itself has been altered, a decision has been taken to discontinue the on-going process and to readvertise the post in accordance with the amended rules. A decision has further been taken to grant age relaxation to those, who had applied earlier and have now become overage and no examination fee will be charged from them again.

Considering the above, this writ petition stands disposed of with a direction upon the respondents to conclude the recruitment exercise proposed to be undertaken now as per the amended rules, at the earliest possible, preferably within a period of four months from the date of presentation of certified copy of this order.
